Arianna Huffington

Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington, a Greek American businesswoman and syndicated journalist is an author. She is the author of fifteen books, and she is co-founder of The Huffington Post. Arianna Huffington is a writer and philanthropist as well as a television host and owner of the independently open online newsmagazine The Huffington Post. Following her move to England from Greece at 16, she received a MA in Economics at Cambridge University. The famous debating society The Cambridge Union was her first presidency and she did it at the age of 21. Following graduation, she left her name as an editorialist for the conservative syndicate and, with the launching of The Huffington Post' few years later, she developed a voice-based website that offered critical observations on the political scenario. She was able to get several prominent contributors who posted their opinions on culture and politics. Arianna's popularity was first noticed in 2003 when she became an independent candidate for the California recall vote in order to replace the then governor Davis. Alongside this, she directed a Detroit initiative to encourage vehicles that are fuel efficient. Forbes identified her as the top woman in the field of media in 2009. The newspaper was ranked as 12th on the ranking. The Guardian also included her to the list of top 100 media outlets in the year 2009. In the year 2011, AOL Inc. acquired The Huffington Post and made her the head of the media unit, which comprised of many existing AOL properties, including Engadget AOL music Style list and Patch Media. She was born to a journalist and management consultant Konstantinos along with his partner Elli Stasinopoulos. Although she had a close friendship with both of her parents and father, it was their relationship that shaped her. From her early years, she demonstrated leadership skills that remain highly respected. At the age of 16 her family moved in the United Kingdom for her higher education. At Girton College Cambridge. She enrolled in Cambridge Union, the Cambridge Union college debate society during her time at college, where she was the first woman to serve as the president. The year 1972 was the year her master's in Economics was conferred. Following her degree, she was a columnist-critic and TV host. In addition, she appeared with Bernard Levin in an episode of Face the music and started creating books with the editorial services of Bernard Levin.
